Snippets are templates used across emails and notes to include preset commonly used information or comments.


W5 Version Needed

1. Click on the Help tab.


2. Select About.


Version 5.3.3.0 and above needed for this feature.



Setting up the Snippet Feature to a Security Role

Identifying the Users Set to a Security Role


Identifying the users that will have access to the Snippet functionality as set in the Security Role.


1. Login as Admin.


2. Click on the Admin tab.


3. Click on Security.


4. Select Users.


5. Select Security Roles.


6. Click on the Security Role Code Lookup button.


7. Click into the Last Name filter and enter the needed name.



8. Click on the required Security Role Code.


Security Role CodeW5ADMIN used in our example.



9. Click on the Members tab (left panel).


The users linked to the previously selected Security Role are listed.



The W5 Administrator (W5ADMIN) Security Role was used in our example.



Setting Snippet Functionality to the Security Role


1. Login as Admin.


2. Click on the Admin tab.


3. Click on Security.


4. Select Users.


5. Select Security Roles.


6. Click on the Security Role Code Lookup button.


7. Click into the Last Name filter and enter the needed name.



8. Click on the Edit button for the required Security Role Code.



9. Click on the Feature Access tab (left panel).



10. In Search field, enter snippet.


11. Click on the Search button.



12. Scroll through the list to find Snippet settings.


13. Checkmark Snippet.



14. Click on the Save button (on the bottom toolbar).


The ability to create a Snippet and Snippet Category are now available.
